Value Of San Diego Condos Continue To Rise

Although the housing market in San Diego is in a slump, the sale of condos in San Diego is doing well.

In fact, the sale of condominiums in San Diego rose 2 per cent over the last month. The average price per square footage of San Diego real estate sold in May of 2007 was $569. The median price a condominium in San Diego was $660,674.

There are several advantages to buying condos in San Diego. The biggest advantage is that they are more affordable than homes. Because of the advantage of collective bargaining, individuals are able to afford more amenities and luxuries with condos.

Another advantage to a condominium in San Diego is that many of the new condo complexes are coming up near downtown or coastal properties. Homeowners who may have otherwise not been able to afford a sea facing apartment can afford such a condominium.

Condos in San Diego are also more manageable. Home owners do not need to worry about maintenance of the exterior of condos and the surrounding areas. This will be taken care of by the management.

Before buying the San Diego condo, the individual needs to check with the Better Business bureau if there have been any complaints, disciplinary action or lawsuits against the builder.

The individual also needs to ask for a copy of the latest financial statement from the condo association as well as ask if there are any renovations planned in the near future and if the finances for that were already collected.
