The third largest county in the State of California is San Diego County. It has a population of almost 3 million. It is also the sixth largest county in U.S. It was founded in 1769 by the Spanish. It has a long coastline in the west, desert in the east and snowy mountains in the north-east. It offers a diverse climate and some cities from San Diego County have what is knows as the "perfect weather". San Diego County is politically divided and most people are conservative. At the presidential election, the votes for John Kerry and George Bush were divided. With a population of 3 million and a density of 259 people on each square kilometer, San Diego County is one of the largest counties in the United States. More than half of its population is White, about 5% black and 10% Asian. Almost 30% of San Diego County population was Hispanic or Latino in the year 2000. In the same year, the median income for males was over $35.000 and $30.000 for females. About 12% of the San Diego County population was below the poverty line.

It is located near San Francisco and the whole town is on a peninsula, having the advantage of houses with beach view, sandy beaches and great weather all around the year.
