Affordable Condos In San Diego

Living in San Diego is wonderful. It has some of the best beaches in Southern California, great hiking trails and perfect weather year round. That's why a lot of people are choosing to settle down in San Diego these days by buying condos here.

San Diego is California's second largest city and has a population of nearly 1.3 million residents and more than 2.8 million residents countywide. Within its borders of 4,200 sq. miles, San Diego County encompasses 18 incorporated cities and numerous other charming neighborhoods and communities, including downtown's historic Gaslamp Quarter, Little Italy, Coronado, La Jolla, Del Mar, Carlsbad, Escondido, La Mesa, Hillcrest, Barrio Logan, Chula Vista just to name a few.

Condos are huge single home complexes in which the property owner and developer have entered into regarding the ownership of the single units.  There are several condo development projects in San Diego. Some of the newer complexes are coming up along the coast line of Pacific Beach, Del Mar and La Jolla. These condos offer great views of the Pacific Ocean and are less expensive then buying homes in these areas.

There are many different models of condos available in San Diego. Some of the complexes are very similar to apartment complexes while others are designed as individual homes. The structure of the condos may vary from town homes to craftsman style homes.

Condos in San Diego offer a an excellent alternate lifestyle for many individuals who want to be independent and have their own homes but who cannot afford to buy new homes or who do not want to be bogged down with the paper work of buying these homes. The paper for purchase of condos in San Diego in most cases is done by the property developer.

Condos in San Diego are also a very good choice for people who enjoy amenities such as covered parking, 24 hour security, swimming pool and club houses. The cost for using and maintaining these facilities is usually charged as a monthly maintenance fees. But since the cost is shared among so many condo owners, the cost to each individual is never very high.

Condo living is also very different from owning or renting a single dwelling home or apartment because of the dual nature that comes with every condo unit ownership. Condominium owners hold ownership over their respective units but each one shares responsibility over the entire complex. As a result gardening or mowing of lawns in individual homes is shared among all condo owners and the property developer.

There may be some restrictions that may be imposed by individual condo complexes. Some San Diego condo complexes have restrictions on pets and outdoor barbecuing. Some of the condo complexes in San Diego also have a charter of rules that they expect all condo owners to follow.
